Application from abroad; Foreigners residing in Turkey and holding a valid residence permit for at least six months or their employers can apply for work permit or time extension directly to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Work permit applications of foreigners must be submitted electronically (www.csgb.gov.tr) and signed on paper and submitted to the Ministry in person or by mail, along with other documents specified in the annex to the Regulation. Foreigners who have obtained a work permit must apply to the Ministry of Interior (Provincial Security Directorates) to obtain a residence permit within thirty days at the latest from the date of receipt of this document. Otherwise, the work permit will not be valid. 

Application from abroad; A foreigner who cannot reside in Turkey for more than 6 months has to apply for a work permit to the Turkish Embassy or Consulate where he or she is a permanent resident. Pursuant to the Implementation Regulation of the Law on Work Permits of Foreigners, the employer in Turkey must apply for an online work permit by logging into the e-government address at www.turkiye.gov.tr ​​within 10 working days following the application made by the foreigner.
