The Robogait device, which was purchased with the contributions of Patika Unhindered Life Volunteers Association and Alanya Municipality and donated to Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University Training and Research Hospital on April 10, 2013, continues to provide hope for patients.
498 people treated
With the Robogait device, which was produced by Turkish scientists and accelerates the rehabilitation process of paralyzed patients, patients coming from outside the city were offered inpatient treatment, while 498 people were treated in the hospital thanks to this device.
"Treatment has been made with the Robogait device since 2013"
Physiotherapist Olcay Aktaş explained that the hospital has been treated with the Robogait device since 2013.
"We treat patients with gait disturbance and neurological problems, including children, with this device. We get good results in patients with gait disturbances. Our patients are entitled to 30 sessions per year on a regular basis, and a single session takes about 40 minutes.
Patients treated with the Robogait device with the help of physiotherapists feel as if they were walking in a natural environment. They can see their own movements on the screen and thus become more motivated. So far, 498 patients have been treated with this device. With this device, 97 patients were treated last year and 53 patients this year."
