International Road and Mountain Bike Races in Alanya district of Antalya started with the Grand Prix Alanya stage.
The first Grand Prix Alanya 1.2 Road Bike Race was held in the organization, which was held with the support of the International Cycling Union (UCI), Turkish Cycling Federation and Alanya District Governorship.
Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer and Turkish Cycling Federation President Erol Küçükbakırcı started the race in front of the Waterfall, and 170 athletes from 16 countries including Switzerland, USA, Malaysia and Italy participated. Athletes will pedal 148 kilometers through the Dim Valley.
Federation President Erol Küçükbakırcı said that they started the biggest organization of 2021 with the biggest tour. Küçükbakırcı stated that those who want to support cycling and cycling tourism are always there for them.
"Last year, we ran nearly 55 races with these organizers. This year, we are starting the first one from Alanya. These are organizations that contribute to the promotion of our country and the development of bicycle tourism."
